Sharedrop does not permit illegal content, or content you do not have the rights to share. We do not read the contents of the files you upload, and we do not monitor your content for moderation — we operate a report-based model and act on reports. (We do run automated security scanning on certain file types, such as HTML and MHTML, to strip malicious code so pages render safely in our sandboxed viewer; that is an automated safety measure, not a person reading your content.) This notice explains what is not allowed, how our moderation works, and how to report content.
You may not upload, host, or share content that:
We do not read user content or monitor it for moderation. We operate a report-based (notice-and-action) model. When we receive a report that content may breach the law or this notice, we may:
We may also act where we are legally compelled to. We will notify the account holder when it is feasible and lawful to do so.
If you encounter content on Sharedrop that you believe breaches the law or this notice, email support@sharedrop.cloud and include:
We triage reports within 2 business days. If the content is illegal and urgent (for example, CSAM), say so clearly so we can prioritise it. Where content involves an imminent threat to someone's safety, contact your local emergency services as well.
Pages in interactive mode can run JavaScript inside the sandbox. Scripts that attempt to escape the sandbox, mine cryptocurrency, attack viewers, or exfiltrate data without consent will result in immediate suspension.
API and MCP usage is rate-limited per account, API key, and IP. Sustained attempts to exceed these limits — including via distributed clients — are treated as abuse and will result in suspension. If you have a legitimate high-volume use case, contact support@sharedrop.cloud before scaling up.
Depending on the breach, we may remove content, restrict or suspend an account, terminate an account, and refer the matter to the relevant authorities. Repeat violations result in a permanent ban.
If you believe a suspension was made in error, email support@sharedrop.cloud within 30 days of the suspension with the account email and a description of the circumstances.
